Temple Adornment, Issue 2 is the second volume in a remarkable journal series that explores contemporary tattooing and spirituality.

This 214-page limited edition 8x10inch softcover collects candid conversations with preeminent tattooers—Rudy Fritsch, Andrew Stickler, Nick Bubash, Amelia Martin, and Jeff Zuck—who work within and uniquely push forward the Americana tattoo tradition. This heuristic discourse examines tattooing beyond process and decoration, and alongside religion, mysticism, sacred symbolism, spiritual practice, anthropology, psychotherapy, history, and culture. It includes a rich collection of works by these tattooers, and essays by the editor discussing the indwelling power in symbol, and concepts of permanence, impermanence, and contingency in tattoo.

This is an 8x10 inch softcover with matte finish, white uncoated 70# paper, 105 GSM. Each book is hand-numbered (of 500 total) and marked with a wooden stamp used as a tattoo stencil, from Varanasi, India. Cover by Andrew Stickler, commissioned for Temple Adornment, June 2018.
